Guest lecture at DAS Choreography

On 17 September we welcome Dani d’Emilia (they/them) for a guest lecture on “Co-sensing with Radical Tenderness: Towards Undoing the Spell of Separability”.

Dani d’Emilia is an artist and educator working at the intersections of performance, radical pedagogy, social justice, and eco-relational care. Since 2014, they have developed a substantial body of work around Radical Tenderness, exploring its potential to reconfigure connections between reason, affect, and relationality through political practices of healing that foster metabolic intimacy and visceral response_ability. A member of Gesturing Towards Decolonial Futures (CA/BR) since 2017 and formerly of La Pocha Nostra (US/MX, 2011–16), Dani teaches and works on various projects internationally, exploring how the arts can nourish cognitive, affective, and relational vitality amid deepening social and ecological crises.
